To begin with the end in mind is to visualize where you want to go in life. To do this, close your eyes
and visualize yourself in the future. What have you accomplished? Have you folllowed the path you've always wanted
to take? If you can't visualize yourself at those spots, then it's time to do some planning. And hey, it definately
doesn't hurt to do some planning even if you feel that you can accomplish your goals. In fact, I recommend it.
So, let's begin!:
The planning we are going to do here is going to be in the form of a mission statement. A mission statement
is a paragraph, poem, sentence, group of words, or even a picture that you can look at to reassure yourself that you are on
the right track in life. To make a good mission statement you must first have some goals and ethics laid out for yourself.
Where do you stand on issues like sex, drugs and violence? How confident are you in yourself? Do you currently
control your own life? Think about these things and write (or draw, this is your statement right?) something that you
know can help guide you if you ever veer of track. Here's a few examples if you're stuck. Have fun! >>>
